Queen’s Gate School is delighted to celebrate another year of outstanding value-added results, with pupils making exceptional progress across a broad range of subjects and the School ranking among the very best in the country.
Queen’s Gate is this year placed within the top 1.5% of schools nationally for value added, highlighting the significant progress pupils make during their time at the School.
These results reflect not only high levels of academic achievement but also the School’s commitment to helping every pupil fulfill her individual potential. Excellence was evident across the curriculum, with several subjects achieving particularly impressive outcomes.

Art and English Literature ranked within the top 0.4% nationally
Core subjects: (English Language, English Literature and Mathematics combined) ranked top 4% nationally.
Co-Director of Studies, Deanna Cappella, explains:’ The value-added score is a measure of a student’s actual achieved GCSE result against a baseline potential test score taken at the beginning of Year 10. A school is said to have ‘added value’ when a student outperforms their baseline potential*.
