Welcome to Queen’s Gate Junior School.
At Queen’s Gate, our girls enjoy a broad and stimulating education within a nurturing environment. They are happy, secure in their learning and prepared to make bold choices. Our ethos is underpinned by the belief that every child is an individual.
Most of our pupils progress to the Senior School at 11, taking advantage of automatic entry; however, we support families in making the right choice for their daughter at every step of the way and our pupils are successful in securing offers from the most selective day and boarding schools.
We are a small, friendly school, but we enjoy all of the benefits of a wide community. While we have a superb setting of our own, the Junior pupils also have access to the resources of the Senior School, including a gym, labs, and art and DT suites. Many lessons, such as Science, coding and our six languages, are taught by specialist teachers who teach right through to A Level.
Girls of all ages, from 4 to 18, mix happily and work together. Sixth Form girls are regular visitors, assisting in food technology lessons, reading programmes and clubs provision. Kindness, compassion, inclusiveness and courage are some of our most highly regarded characteristics, promoted in our Character Education programme.
Our girls have many opportunities available to them and are spoilt for choice when deciding upon their clubs. From fencing to football, from STEM to Mandarin to Mindfulness, there is something to inspire every pupil. The Queen’s Gate curriculum offers breadth and challenge. Such a well-rounded experience allows our girls to thrive as independent thinkers, fully engaged in all that they do.
From our historic corner of South Kensington, the whole of London is on our doorstep and we make full use of the advantages this great city offers in our teaching and enrichment activities.
We look forward to meeting you and encourage you to come and visit us!
Mr James Denchfield, BA (Hons) PGCE
