A Level Results

A Level results 2023

In some of the most challenging circumstances imaginable, Queen’s Gate girls have defied the odds to produce some outstanding A Level results.  The first cohort to complete ‘normal’ A Levels since before the pandemic, our Upper Sixth had also never previously sat high-stakes public examinations due to the cancellation of their GCSEs in 2021.  Nevertheless, they proceeded undaunted, working with focus and energy throughout their A Level courses, effort that has been rightly rewarded with the excellent grades we are celebrating today.  Their achievement is all the more impressive given that grade boundaries have now returned to pre-pandemic levels – indeed, in some subjects the mark required for the top grades is now significantly higher than in 2019.

A Levels are, of course, a passport to onwards education, and we are proud to be sending off pupils to universities including Oxford, Durham, Bath, St. Andrews, Warwick and UCL.  Ever international in outlook and bold in choices, many girls will also be venturing overseas to take up places at NYU and UMass Amherst in the USA, and Concordia University in Canada.   We are also thrilled to have a number of leavers embarking upon creative courses, such as the Camberwell School of Art and the Istituto Marangoni, a demonstration of our well-known strengths in this area.

Today we congratulate our girls for these terrific results, and wish them all the very best as they look forward to their life beyond Queen’s Gate.
