Last week, our Principal, Miss Wallace, had the privilege of attending an extraordinary event at the Houses of Parliament, hosted by the Lady Garden Foundation.
The event brought together the charity’s student ambassadors with an inspiring range of industry leaders from sectors including finance, tech, PR, marketing and academia. Alongside Justine Venditti and fellow The Girls’ Schools Association Head Katharine Woodcock, Miss Wallace was proud to fly the flag for education.
Miss Wallace was hugely impressed by the bright young ambassadors in the room. Whether using the thoughtful conversation prompts provided by the Lady Garden Foundation or asking their own questions, they were articulate, curious and committed, qualities strengthened by their important work with this vital charity.
Queen’s Gate is proud to be one of the Lady Garden Foundation’s pilot schools, helping to raise awareness of gynaecological cancers and encouraging girls to speak openly and confidently about these issues.
As Jenny Halpern Prince MBE said at the event: ‘What’s a gynaecological cancer’s favourite sound? Silence.’
We are delighted that Queen’s Gate is helping to lead the change.

Half Term Highlights ✨
From concerts led by our peripatetic music teachers to inspiring trips to venues including the Southbank Centre, it’s been a busy few months for Music at Queen’s Gate. We’re also squeezing in a few photos from the fantastic Spring Concert at the end of last term, a brilliant showcase of the talent, hard work and confidence of our musicians across the school.
Half Term Highlights ✨
Year 7 went on a residential trip to PGL this half term, taking on everything from abseiling and giant swings to axe throwing and climbing challenges. Muddy trainers, lots of laughs and a few nerves along the way, but the girls threw themselves into every activity and came back with plenty of stories to tell.
Half Term Highlights ✨
Technically this took place at the very end of last term… but the photos were simply too good not to include this half term`s highlights ♻️✨ The Junior School recycled fashion show saw the girls turn everything from bin bags to M&S shopping bags into imaginative catwalk creations.
Sustainable fashion has never looked so stylish!
Half Term Highlights ✨
One of the sunniest moments of the half term was our whole school May Day celebration ☀️🌼 With a picnic prepared by our wonderful caterers, PTA games bringing out everyone’s competitive side, and special visits from members of Age UK, the afternoon was full of community spirit. The glorious weather made it feel like summer had arrived early at Queen’s Gate 💛
Half Term Highlights ✨
One of Year 6’s standout moments this half term was their visit to the Natural History Museum for the Junior Citizenship Scheme. Across a series of hands-on workshops led by organisations including Transport for London and Kensington & Chelsea Council, the girls explored everything from personal safety to environmental responsibility!
Last Friday, ahead of the Eurovision Song Contest, the Junior School celebrated Eurovision Day in style, with girls arriving in wonderful costumes representing countries from across the world.
Preliminary enjoyed taking part in a European Flag Hunt, one of the many activities prepared for the day, while pupils across the Junior School explored different languages and cultures through a range of Eurovision-inspired lessons and activities.
