Students with an Art Teacher

International Applicants

We warmly welcome enquiries from families based around the world looking to relocate to London. We are an independent day school for girls aged 4-18 in the heart of South Kensington, London, with a diverse community.

Why International Families Choose Queen’s Gate

Academic Excellence: The school consistently achieves top-tier GCSE and A-Level results, in a less-pressurised environment. Same outcome, better journey.

London as a Classroom: Situated near world-class institutions like the Natural History Museum and the V&A. In the classroom for the morning, in the museum by the afternoon.

Distinct Identity: Girls combine traditional elements like blazers and boaters with their own clothes in the junior school whilst in the senior school girls make their own choices with the expectation that they will be smart. A dress code rather than a uniform.

International admissions process

We are always delighted to welcome prospective overseas families to visit Queen’s Gate. If you are able to plan ahead, booking a spot at an Open Day  will give you a fantastic overview of our school.

We understand that many international families may have limited time whilst visiting London, in which case a private tour can be arranged and tailored to your family’s requirements. Please contact admissions to arrange a meeting.

If a visit in person is not possible, we can arrange for an online meeting with our Principal, Head of Admissions or a member of our Senior Management Team.

Interviews and assessments can also take place remotely. For assessments, we ask that your daughter’s current school invigilates examinations if possible in the first instance.

UK Visas and Immigration

Queen’s Gate has a licence to sponsor international students on Child Student visas. Please contact our admissions team if you would like to discuss visa sponsorship. We can support parents of students aged 4 to 18 years old who wish to join their children in the UK under the Parent of a Child Student visa route. Please note only one parent per family may apply for the Parent of a Child Student visa and you may not work or study on this immigration route. Our immigration partners will guide and support you through the visa application process.

We also welcome international students who are dependents of their parents’ visas, e.g., BN(O), Diplomatic, EUSS, Global Talent, and Skilled Worker visas, as well as many other immigration routes.

If you are unsure whether your child needs a Child Student visa, we recommend consulting the Check If You Need a UK Visa section of the Home Office website.

Please get in touch if you require further advice regarding visas, and our team will be on hand to guide you through the process.

Fees

All pupils British, EU and international – are charged the same fees, regardless of nationality or immigration status.

International pupils who receive an offer to study at Queen’s Gate School will be asked to confirm their place by paying a deposit. Families are asked to settle the academic year’s fees in full and pay an administration fee for each Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) in advance of visa sponsorship.

Our Admissions Team will provide all the necessary information, including deposit arrangements. The deposit will be returned at the end of a pupil’s time at the school, provided appropriate notice has been given and all fees have been settled.

Educational consultants

Queen’s Gate works with a range of educational consultants, pupil recruitment agencies, relocation and real estate agents. Prospective consultants and agencies are invited to contact our admissions team to discuss partnership opportunities. We recognise the importance of these partnerships and offer favourable commission rates to trusted partners.

New agents seeking agreements should contact us on admissions@queensgate.org.uk.
