Students with an Art Teacher

Mrs A Mitropoulos

Mrs Mitropoulos first joined Queen’s Gate School as a student in Year 8; it was here that she was inspired in her love for the Classical world. Thereafter, she achieved a first class BA in Literae Humaniores at University College, Oxford, followed by a  2-year Masters in Philosophy in Classical Archaeology at Lincoln College, Oxford.  Following studies, she went straight into teaching at a boarding school in Surrey before coming to another girls’ school in London, and re-joined Queen’s Gate School as Head of Classics in 2017. Mrs Mitropoulos is an Ofqual subject specialist and has extensive experience in examining GCSE and A-level papers. She  has presented at a range of training and professional development days, as well as twice at the Classical Association Conference. When not thinking about teaching or the classical world, she enjoys playing and cooking with her two children.
