After last night`s Met Gala we are looking back on our very own Recycled Fashion Show at the Junior School. 🧵🧷🪡✂️
Much like the Met Gala, which is a prelude to the Costume Institute`s spring 2024 exhibition - Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion - an exhibition designed to show the uses technology to "breathe new life" into the garments, our Junior School girls breathed new life into rubbish and litter that would otherwise have been thrown away!
We were blown away by their creativity, individuality and talent as they showed off their creations on our red carpet to a panel of judges!
A huge well done to everyone who took part.

We also celebrated the birthday of our two Junior School tortoises today, and had our picnic party to celebrate, wonderfully organised by our amazing PTA.

If you`ve been inside Queen`s Gate Junior School you`ll have seen where our tortoises live, expertly cared for by Ms Jackson and the Junior School girls - and they were especially spoiled and looked after today as we sang happy birthday to them in assembly and handed out awards to girls that have gone above and beyond to help Ms Jackson care for them !

The rain didn`t stop us from having our annual May Day Picnic this year - even if we did have to eat it indoors! A big thank you to our amazing caterer @_thomasfranks for the delicious spread. 🎂 🧺🥖🍇
As we do every Friday lunchtime, we also welcomed members of @ageukkandc through our doors to join us for this special lunch. The rain can`t stop our fun here at Queen`s Gate!

Girls entering the Senior School in Year 7 will study seventeen subjects. The incredibly broad curriculum allows the girls to explore and develop subject interests they might not otherwise have encountered, and serves as a really thorough foundation for their GCSE studies.
Taking advantage of our London location, the girls’ horizons are further expanded and their curiosity fuelled through visits to museums, theatres, exhibitions and lectures throughout the year.

Last week, Queen`s Gate staff joined the Lady Garden Foundation Family Challenge at Battersea Park, inspired by the remarkable assembly delivered to Senior School girls by the national women`s health charity @ladygardenfoundation . The Lady Garden Foundation is committed to educating, driving awareness, funding life-saving research and treatment, and breaking taboos - a cause we wholeheartedly support. 🌸🌷🌺💐🏃🏼♀️
