IIB Take a Walk on the Wild Side in Sunny Dorset

Posted on 28 May 2019 by Miss Emily Acton-Edmiston

Last week, with both sun hats and wellies in tow for all eventualities, IIB set off to New Barn, an outdoor education centre in Dorset. Set in its own 20 acre nature reserve, high on a hill overlooking some of Dorset’s finest downland, it provides ample opportunity for the girls to get stuck in with a whole host of outdoor activities.

From shelter building and pottery making, to outdoor chess and Iron Age medicine concoction, the Junior School pupils certainly had a jam-packed trip. The English weather was on their side and so blessed with glorious sunshine, they were really able to make the most of Mother Nature!

Many thanks to Mrs Makhlouf for organising such an enriching trip and for the fabulous photos!
