‘Big Five’ Dress Up Raises £865 For Local Charities

Inspired by the Run For Heroes 5km Challenge, our Senior School Head Girls, Luna and Maria, organised a fundraising initiative for the whole Queen’s Gate community to take part in: The ‘Big Five’ Dress Up Day! Pupils, staff and parents could choose from five different outfit themes and donate £5 (or more) to support five different local charities. Some creative outfits were put together from home, including Diane-Sophie’s stylish Audrey Hepburn get–up, Mr Smith’s half beach, half black–tie ensemble and Leila’s incredibly impressive family effort at Star Wars!
We wanted to raise money for local charities which have been hit particularly hard by the virus, as well as boost enthusiasm during everyone’s Remote Learning experience…We are super proud to announce that The Big Five Initiative has raised £865.00 for Age UK Kensington & Chelsea, Kensington and Chelsea Foundation, Royal Trinity Hospice, NHS Charities Together and Kensington & Chelsea Food Bank (The Trussell Trust).
We loved seeing everyone’s outfits and thank you again for all your support!’
