Physics

What is Physics?

Physics is the branch of science concerned with the properties of matter and energy and the relationships between them. Studying the subject will give you a much better understanding of how the world around you functions.

Have you ever wondered:

  • How did the universe begin?
  • How does the Sun keep on shining?
  • What gives an object mass?
  • What causes the Northern Lights?

If you think the questions above are fascinating and aspire to discover the answers, then you will enjoy physics.

If you are going to study physics then it is essential that you have a good understanding of mathematics.

What Higher Education/Careers could this subject lead to?

• Electrical engineer
• Mechanical engineer
• Aeronautical engineer
• Geologist
• Nuclear scientist
• Meteorologist
• Astronomer
• Civil Engineer
• Medical physicist
• Particle physicist

These are just a few examples
