Supporting Queen’s Gate
Since its founding in 1891, philanthropy has played a large part in shaping Queen’s Gate. Today, it helps deliver the schools vision of preserving and developing our buildings and facilities so that all pupils can benefit from them, as well as significantly contributing towards our bursary provision so we can look beyond a family’s circumstances to an applicant’s ability and character.
Below, you will find information on the different methods of giving to Queen’s Gate.
If you would like to support Queen’s Gate you can do so online by visiting our giving page here.
If you would like to make a single gift to Queen’s Gate the easiest way to do so is via our giving page. Alternatively, if you would like to give by cheque, credit card or direct transfer, please contact Miss Lilly de Bie, who will be happy to send you a donation form.
If you would like to regularly contribute to Queen’s Gate we are able to set up a direct debit for you. Regular donations means that the School can plan ahead knowing that it can rely on a steady stream of charitable income. Please contact the Miss Lilly de Bie for more information on setting this up.
Giving with Gift Aid
For both methods of giving outlined above, if you are a UK tax-payer, we can reclaim £25 for every £100 you donate thanks to Gift Aid. If you are a higher-rate taxpayer (40%-45%), you yourself can also claim significant tax relief (between an additional £200 -£300 on every £1,000 you donate). To find out more, go to HMRC.
If you would like to give through your business or on the Give As You Earn scheme we can provide more information on this. Companies can claim corporation tax relief in their tax returns on all donations made to charities such as Queen’s Gate.
For your reference, our charity number is: 312724
You may like to remember Queen’s Gate in your Will. Legacy gifts have the benefit of being free from inheritance tax and capital gains tax.
If you would like to modify an existing Will, it does need to be formally executed and legal advice should be sought.
