Curriculum

The curriculum includes a well balanced range of subjects. Core subjects sit happily alongside the humanities, Art, DT, Music and Drama. The sciences are taught in our well equipped laboratories and ICT is incorporated into other lessons using laptop computers. All classrooms have interactive whiteboards. French is taught throughout the school, Latin is introduced in year 5 and Italian, Spanish and German are offered in years 4-6. An optional Madarin Chinese Club takes place after school.

Music and Drama are highly valued,for the part they play in the personal development of each child. Class music is taught by a music specialist throughout the school. We have 3 choirs, and we take part in the Music for Youth Festival each year. We also have a school orchestra. Girls may choose from a wide range of instruments from Year 3 and are given the oppportunity to play in instrumental ensembles. Drama is taught as a timetabled subject and there are opportunities for further involvement through the Drama Club.There is a school production each year.
