QG’s Got Talent!

Posted on 18 January 2018 by Miss Emily Acton-Edmiston

Who knew we had so many dark horses amongst the teaching staff when it comes to hidden talents? Wednesday lunchtime saw a number of the Queen’s Gate teaching brigade take to the stage for ‘Queen’s Gate’s Got Talent!’ The show was a fundraiser for the Tanzania expedition in the summer, with an incredible £450 being raised, all of which will go directly to the Livingstone Tanzania Trust.

We were treated to a very eclectic mix of acts including Mr Mataya, juggling in a jacket that was reminiscent of the famous Skittles strapline and Miss Oppong and Mr Moss doing a rather extraordinary display to ‘Jump’, the debut single of hit hip-hop duo, Kriss Kross. However, it was Mr Smith’s energetic rendition of Big Shaq’s ‘Man’s Not Hot’ and Dr Lee and Miss Palframan’s dog show that stole the show, earning them joint first place.

Well done to all the teachers who took part and thanks to everyone who donated – a very enjoyable lunchtime was had by all!
