QG Senior School Swimming Gala 2018

Posted on 1 March 2018 by Miss Emily Acton-Edmiston

Girls from the Senior School travelled to Kensington Leisure Centre on Friday 23 February for this year’s Swimming Gala. All pupils swam with enthusiasm and commitment and there were some very close finishes and some new records set!

Once the races were completed and the scores were counted up, Melinda Aznar (Remove) Tess McGill and Melissa Kunak (LIV) and Isla Wallrock (IV) were announced as the Individual Champions on the day. A special well done goes to Isla Wallrock who broke the records for both 25m backstroke and 25m butterfly.

After the Individual Champions had been announced, it was time to find out how each house had done. The girls (and parents!) waited eagerly to hear the results which were as follows:

1st place- Spalding (188 points)
2nd place – Douglas (172 points)
3rd place – Johnston (141 points)
4th place -Wyatt (130 points)
