Gold To Bethlehem

This year, for the first time, IB, IA and IIB joined forces to put on their very own Christmas play, Gold To Bethlehem, on Wednesday 28 November.

Staff and parents gathered together in Holy Trinity Church, to watch the classic Nativity story, with a twist! The Three Kings are off to visit Bethlehem, but only two of them are bearing gifts! The absent-minded King has left his bag behind and young Kezia, a shepherdess, decides she will take the Gold to Bethlehem. Lo and behold, all sorts of adventure ensues on her journey before she reaches the stable just in time.

The pupils gave it their all and the result was a festive but remarkably funny Christmas musical! Both the singing and acting were at a level the girls should be proud of and the audience particularly enjoyed the dramatic number, Lock her in the Dungeon! and the truly glorious finale, Deo Gloria.

Well done to everyone who took part and to the staff for all their time and effort. The play was such a success that it will now be an annual event in the calendar.
