A little bit of Kafka and Wilde

The Queen’s Gate UV GCSE Drama pupils performed their final practical assessments in front of an AQA Moderator on Wednesday 26 April, having performed the evening before to an enthralled audience of friends, family and staff.
The contrasting pieces chosen by the two performance groups, Oscar Wilde’s The Importance of Being Earnest and an adaptation Kafka’s Metamorphosis showed a fantastic array of acting, producing and directing ability from the girls, and both pieces illustrated the talent which is currently on offer in the GCSE age group through Wilde’s sparkling wit and larger than life characters and the nightmare of Kafka’s tale of a man who turns into a Dung Beetle.
Well done to all the girls involved in these brilliant productions.
