Our aim at Queen's Gate is to provide a broad based, balanced curriculum which lays a strong foundation on which to build when girls transfer to their senior schools. All subjects, together with the enrichment programme, play their part in nurturing a well rounded pupil who is ready and eager to face the new challenges of the next stage of her education.

Core subjects sit happily alongside the Humanities, Art, DT, Music, Drama and Physical Education.  The Sciences are taught in our well equipped laboratories and ICT is incorporated into other lessons using laptop computers. All classrooms have interactive whiteboards. French is taught throughout the school, Latin is introduced in year 5 and Italian, Spanish and German are offered in years 4-6.

Music and Drama are highly valued for the part they play in the personal development of a child. Class Music is taught by a music specialist throughout the school. We have four choirs, and we often take part in the Music for Youth Festival, reaching the final on two occasions. We also have a school orchestra and ensemble groups.  Girls may choose from a wide range of instruments from Year 3.  Formal and informal concerts are a regular feature of life at Queen's Gate. Drama is taught as a timetabled subject and there are opportunities for further involvement through the Drama Club. There is a school production every year and many other opportunities for girls to develop their performance skills. 

We offer a wide range of sports, including netball, hockey, cross country running, swimming, gymnastics, athletics and rounders. Girls participate in fixtures against other schools, and take part in biathlon, triathlon and mini marathon events. There is a Queen's Gate Cross Country Invitation event.  Facilities used include the school gymnasium, Fulham Pools, Imperial College swimming pool, Battersea Park and Hyde Park. We have an inter house Swimming Gala and Sports Day every year.
